Well, it’s somewhat balmy here in MD, which makes me crave New England Christmas’s all the more. I will have to admit that I really do miss 4 distinct seasons, but it is what it is.
My hand went back to being awful today, which really bummed me out. I can’t knit, I can’t dye, I can’t do much. Granted I am still doing some stuff or you might hear about my mental breakdown on the news. Not seeing the specialist until January….Ugh!!
I wanted to share a few more of my favorite holiday things. One is the needlepoint stocking that I made for my son Bryce. I made this while we lived on Cape Cod and it is the largest piece I have done to date.
All the trim on his coat are tiny french knots!
I had a really great time planning out the stitch patterns and what would look good where. It hangs proudly on the mantle over our fireplace.
Also near and dear to me are the needlepoint ornaments that I have made for our tree. Our tree consist mainly of homemade ornaments and I adore how it looks every year. I must have put the ornaments away somewhere SAFE. They are so safe that I can’t find them.
I am off to help hubby who is walking crooked and in pain.
Before I go, I spent yesterday starting and completing this. Let me just say that I kinda suck a photography. This is Laura Nelkin’s Rippled kit and I see more of these in my future. Talk about instant gratification. It was right up there with chocolate!!
It’s really a teal color. I told you I suck at taking pictures…
Hubby is moaning! Gotta get the pain pills and knock him out…
